Our Brunswick history and mystery tour has much to share. Along this 2-hour walk, we will explore the town’s origins dating back to the Wabanaki Native American tribe, first to settle on the Androscoggin River, and then first British settlers arriving in 1628.
We invite you to visit Maine this year! The weather is (mostly) beautiful, the food is fantastic, the guides are delightful, and we are busier than ever! We are following all protocols for your safety along with our valuable tour guides and partners, remaining on top of all guidelines as they evolve. Currently, the Maine CDC posts daily updates regarding our COVID transmission rates by county. If/when the rate is above “moderate”, we will be asking guides and guests to wear masks when indoors. Once seated and served, they may be removed. On our culinary tours, we are dining mostly, although not entirely, outside during Summer and early Fall months for maximum enjoyment.
Our history tours are ideal now and a 100% touch-less experience, offered only outside enjoying the sights, and learning the history and culture of our seacoast communities. If you would feel better about a private tour, we are happy to arrange this for you anytime. Just give us a call or fill out our online “private events” form.
The beautiful weather is here and we are working every day to create exciting experiences for you to safely enjoy. We hope to see you this season when the timing is right for you.
Check out our 30-sec WGME ad in support of the Girl Scouts of Maine! We were proud to partner with WGME and the Girl Scouts of Maine through their ME for She campaign that empowers young women.
All of our highly interactive tours are limited in size and will entertain and educate you all along the way. You will make new friends on a leisurely stroll visiting 4-7 locations, depending upon your tour.
You may always contact us to discuss a private group tour as we love to custom create an activity for you at any time.
We still have more in the works, so check back in or join our mailing list to be kept in the loop. We look forward to taking you on a taste through town!
Treat your loved ones to FUN!
"There were 7 of us on the tour and we had a great time! We were not sure what to expect, even thought we might get Costco size food samples. We were wrong! We ate so much! Lobster rolls, falafal, donuts, chocolate, soup, pasta, beer, mead, and more. Cynthia was an excellent tour guide, fun and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour!"
– Eric B. · TripAdvisor"We have spent a lot of time in Portland since we lived in New England for years, but we didn't know a lot about the history, so signed up on a recent visit. The tour was fantastic. My husband and I learned so much and we're history buffs so our guide, Ross, was great at answering our questions. Ross made the tour a lot of fun also, and we're so glad we took the time. The city is beautiful and knowing the history made it that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend!"
– CMVT24 · TripAdvisor"We had an absolute blast with our guide, James during the Bon Appetite Walking Tour. We were a little worried with the weather and going in the off-season, but James made it so fun. It was us, and another couple but that made it great! James was knowledgeable about the area, the food scene and Portland in general. The portions were generous at each stop. We had a croissant at BLVL, a spring roll at Banh Appetite, clam chowder and fried clams at Bob’s Clam Hut, Meade from Maine Meade Works with a French fry spread from the duckfat shack, and finally some kombucha from root wild with “real italian” sandwiches from A.C. Deli"
– Elizabeth T. · TripAdvisor"Went on the bon appetite tour this past weekend and would highly recommend it. Tour guide, Timothy, was fun and informative. The only other couple on our tour was a guide training for this tour - so I feel like we almost had two guides and really lucked out. Nice array of food and drinks. Who knew I liked kombucha?! Ross, the other guide, and his wife were even kind enough to show us around old port and take us back to our car - such amazing hospitality. Great intro to Portland for us!"
– Rebecca · TripAdvisorWe went on the Old Port Culinary tour and had a fantastic time! Our tour guide, Ross, was so knowledgeable and accommodating you can tell he is passionate about his job and this city. The food we got to try was AMAZING and the entire tour would so smooth (which I don’t say lightly give we were a group of 4 one visionally impaired PLUS an infant and 2 year old). Given the strange time we are in I think it’s also worth a mention to speak to how safe we felt given it was meticulously organized at each stop! Would highly recommend to do for any type of group!!!
